Counselling and Psychotherapy

Counselling can be helpful in numerous ways. It can give the opportunity and space to reflect on current thoughts and feelings, explore patterns learned in childhood and challenge and replace distorted core beliefs. Putting back the pieces of our lives takes time and effort and whilst we might not be responsible for everything that happened to us, we can find new ways of understanding and responding that are aligned with our future goals and true identity.

The counselling relationship is also very different from other types of relationships as it focuses solely on you, the client, without the judgment or opinion of another.

I have over a decade of experience working with clients on a wide variety of issues, and whilst counselling does not help everyone all of the time, it has shown to be helpful with some of the issues listed below. This list is not exhaustive, so if you are struggling with something not listed, please don't let it stop you enquiring.

  • Abuse of all kinds,
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Depression,
  • Dissociation
  • Life transition and loss,
  • Issues surrounding low self-esteem and identity,
